Victory in SMRC Eurocup Bresse (F) 26.07.2009
Overall victory went to Joachim Westermann in his Class 2 R 400 ahead of Guiseppe Titi (Class 1, Vx Special) and Thoralf Grube (Class 2 R 400). The Italian owner of the Sportgarage in Köniz (CH), Guiseppe Titi, who represents MOG Racing in Switzerland, delivered a strong performance in his newly constructed Caterham with the latest Quaife G60 sequential gearbox. But on the curvy course in Bresse there was no competition against the light R 400 of Joachim Westermann. Thoralf Grube had no chance, even with his well-known performance and with the help of the longer ratio of his rear axle. As cunning as we know him, Joachim Westermann specially had a shorter rear axle fitted to suit the conditions at Bresse and in doing so, was assured a decisive advantage.
We’ll see you on 16 August at the next curvy course in France: Chenevieres in Lorraine, which is also a new SMRC course.Read all news
