Black Brick
Our customer acquired his Black Brick (Nr. 4 of 4) directly in England where several jobs had already been done on this historical motorsport vehicle by the acclaimed company, Raceline. Nevertheless she was miles away from being finished.
Upon arrival in Germany it was thought to rebuild her using a motor cycle engine, but by unfortunately separating important cage tubes the engine mountings were ruined completely by the assigned company. The project failed due to several problems and the Black Brick was left in a sad state.
It was then that MOG Racing got the order to rebuild this legendary car. Our competence convinced the owner to follow our advice and to build in a Ford Zetec engine.
After many a meeting, new designs and a rough estimate of the restoration effort and costs, we were happy to get the order to completely rebuild this car of great historical value.
We restored, rebuild and reconstructed the complete chassis with the original tubes provided by Arch Motors, painted the paneling black, redesigned the engine mountings, installed the Ford engine as well as a NITRON suspension. The exhaust, radiator, dynamo and dry sump were all redesigned and fitted by us.
Finally, driving and set-up tests were passed with flying colours at Anneau du Rhin, enabling us to hand our delighted customer a perfectly functioning and superior race car.
